Personal | Inspiration Shoot at Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas

We recently traveled to Las Vegas for a photography conference and from the moment I booked the flight, I imagined a photo shoot in the desert.  Lucky for me, my cousin and his wife live there and were totally down to help my vision come to life.  I handmade a floral crown for Rebecca to wear and stylized their outfits to accent the landscape that was like an unreal painting.  As we were driving, off in the distance, I could see the canyon bright with hues of red.  Stepping onto the rocks for the first time was more breathtaking than imagined, creating photos there was better than dreams…

Family | The Statlers

In between weddings and engagements, I squeeze in a few family shoots; the Statlers are so special to us as we’ve known Tania & Travis before their two sweet children came along. 😀  It’s been such a blessing to watch their family grow with the addition of Preston, then Cosette.  I just love when shoots are around the home, capturing moments that are real. <3

What’s the coolest way to get around the property?!  That’d be on a vintage Harley Davidson golf cart!  What great childhood memories for Preston & Cosette. 🙂

Class of 2013 | Ethan

Ethan is one of four brothers and makes the third I’ve photographed, LOVE it!  Want proof?  Check out the posts of Luke and Dylan. 😉  All the guys are not only good looking but made my job easy by having a cool and open attitude.  I learned that Ethan is an artist, so I decided to incorporate some fashion- inspired posing, and he totally rocked it!  Congrats Ethan, all the best as you adventure on!

Family | The Bergmanns in Cape Girardeau

It was fun switching it up a bit and hitting the road to Cape Girardeau where we met up with Eric, Kyla, and their new son, Townes.  It’s also great to have had another family session at the client’s home, which always has a special, sweet feel.  Not to mention, Kyla & Eric’s home has beautiful light and architecture making it two thumbs up for a photographer. 🙂  Congratulations Bergmann family and thanks for having us down!

Family | The Scotts welcome Henry

Soooo, I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned before, but I LOVE having sessions in my client’s home.  Not only does it add a personal touch that a park just can’t achieve, but everyone is comfortable making it easier to capture memorable moments.  It makes me smile knowing these moments will be looked back on for years to come, when homes may be different and little ones aren’t so little.  🙂

I’ve had the joy of photographing the Scott family before as a family of 3, this time around we had a sweet little addition, Henry.  I was so amazed by how alert little Henry was for being only a couple weeks old, and the love and awe on big brother Jack’s face when he introduced me to his new brother.  These priceless moments are the ones that I’ll never forget, and make me so grateful for wonderful clients and friends that allow me to have one of the coolest “jobs” ever.
