Erin + Ryan = Engaged

Ahh my dear blog, I promise I did not forget about you.  But today, I bring you an awesome post that I think will make up for lost time; I am very excited to share this couple with you.

When I first met Erin and Ryan to talk about their wedding day, I just knew I wanted to be their photographer.  They are so laid back and easy to talk with, I felt like I was hanging out with friends instead of “meeting with potential clients”.  Erin is super smart and just earned her master’s degree in social work and Ryan served in the Army, how amazing are these two?!  And to top it off, Ryan’s family owns Crown Candy Kitchen and we are going there on their wedding day.  Woop woop!  I’ve already had photo visions 😉

A few weeks ago we got together again, when all was quiet at sunrise.  The bright blues and pinks of their clothes looked so pretty with the glow of the morning sun.  I love how Erin had several cute outfits planned and ready to go, and how she wasn’t afraid to use color.  Add in the fact that they are head over heels in love and you get some of my favorite engagement photos ever.

Cassidy + Zach = engaged

One of the coolest things about what I do is that I get to catch up with old friends and make new friends. Cassidy and Zach are no exception, I just so happened to go to grade school and middle school with Cassidy and her 3 sisters.  When we met up early morning for her and Zach’s sunrise session it was like the years gone by didn’t matter.  We bonded over our mutual love for cats 😀 , I got to hear about her fun times at LU, and we ventured familiar places with the sunrise as our canvas.  Seeing her with Zach,  how they compliment each other  so perfectly, gave me that warm fuzzy feeling.  He smiled as he watched her walk, holding her hand.

Sunrise, the river, Cassidy and Zach….awesome.

Wow her pretty blues….

Cassidy and Zach, I am so happy to call you friends and to witness the love you have found in each other.  I am both thrilled and honored to be a part of your wedding day next summer.  ***

Margi + Henish = one amazing couple and wedding

Margi and Henish had one of the most colorful and joyful weddings I have ever been to, ever.  Their love for one another was so obvious, from the way they never stopped holding hands to the way they danced to Henish’s version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” that he recorded just for Margi.  Every moment of the day was filled with so much excitement and beauty, I still relive it every time I look at their photos.

Henish was so handsome, two of my faves from the day…

After Henish got ready, he came to the City Museum on horse and carriage, accompanied by family and friends.  They got the party started in the streets of St. Louis with the sounds of drums, singing, and of course dancing.

He and Margi’s first look was soo sweet…

Just another awesome part of a traditional Hindu ceremony, they eat food and enjoy themselves freely!

After the ceremony, I took a little break and came back just in time for some photos of Margi and Henish downtown.

Gaahhh she was soo stunning, some more faves below…

Man ohh man, the Crystal Ballroom looked amaaaazing!

And they had one of the best entrances, ever!

Soooooo much dancing and fun…

To top it off,  they had a really talented musician provide entertainment during dinner.  If you haven’t seen Dave The Horn Guy, I would definitely check him out.  Soo cool how he plays a ton of songs on the horns all over his body!

I can’t say how happy I am to have been a part of this celebration;  I am so grateful to my friend Sara of SJMacky Photography for having me be the second shooter for this wonderful day.  If you would like to see even more of Margi and Henish’s wedding please head on over to my facebook page, and don’t forget to “like” it while you’re there 🙂  Henish and Margi, you guys are truly perfect for each other.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me document your special day with Sara.  Many well wishes and love to you both…

Ashley + Glenn ~ engaged

Ashley saw Glenn across the room and told her friend, I’m going to marry that man… years later, we return back to the place where they met.  The same place where my friendship started with them.  From the moment these two got together, it was a perfect fit.

Lilly was pretty awesome too 😀

Ashley and Glenn, thank you soooo much for letting me document your love.  I am suuuper pumped for your wedding this spring!!  (St. Patty’s Day, yay!) 😉  ***
