Engaged | Trista & Nick

A couple fun facts about me are 1) I absolutely love checking out new areas and exploring what it has to offer.  2) I just miiiight be a fan of the show America’s Next Top Model, I’ll admit I fall victim to reality shows too often 🙂  Sometimes on the show Tyra Banks coaches aspiring models to have their best ‘smize’, smiling with their eyes.  You may or may not hear me reference the show or smizing while out shooting 😉  Then, bring in Trista and Nick.  A couple that first dated in middle school, so they’re already super adorable together.  Put it all together, and what you get is Trista and Nick’s engagement session.  I really hit it big with these two because not only did we go all around O’Fallon, MO, an area I don’t get to shoot often, but also, Trista is a master of the smize.  She has some stunningly pretty eyes and when Nick’s around they light up even more.

Awesome smize giiirl!  So pretty in color and b&w I had to share both.

Mickey, their fur baby, likes snuggles too 🙂

Love.

Thanks so much for a fun evening you two, can’t wait for your gorgeous Statler Ballroom wedding next August! ***

Engaged | Erin & Don

Erin & Don were part of a wedding party I photographed earlier this year and judging from the massive amounts of laughs and fun they had that night, their wedding day will be one awesome event.  We explored different areas of the city for their engagement session, they even brought along their fur baby Oskar for some photos, LOVE it!  We ended the night at a local pub where Erin & Don shared a cross word puzzle, one of their favorite things to do together.  I can’t think of a greater way to end an evening, cold beer in hand with your love by your side.

Personal | Happenings

I just wanted to drop by the blog today as I am feeling very blessed and blown away by the support and love I have received since starting photography.  Over these past couple of years, I would not be where I am without the awesome clients that saw something in me and decided to have their portrait or wedding photographed by me, I am so grateful to every single one you.  I also owe so much to some wonderful photographers that have allowed me to second shoot with them, ask them questions, even become friends with them 🙂  I am so amazed.

My wedding calendar for 2013 is filling up quicker than ever and I am sooo excited and honored to have been asked to photograph a wedding in Key West, Florida next year.  I’m not posting this to brag, I even thought about not doing so because talking about myself always feels a bit awkward.  But I decided to post because I want to be fair to brides that may be thinking about photography.  I take a limited amount of weddings per year, please don’t wait to drop me an email if you are interested in talking more about photography, meeting and chatting over some yummy tea or warm cocoa.  I do not claim to know everything about photography.  I still have more to learn, that’s what keeps me excited and makes me push harder.  I invite you to join this journey with me, keep exploring, have fun, be curious, whatever that means for you in your life.  And if you like photographs, heck, let’s make some together and see what kind of fun we can have while doing so 😀

Engaged | Megan & Eric

One of my favorite things to do is explore.   Whether it’s around the wildflowers in our Missouri fields or downtown St. Louis where the forest is made from bricks and concrete; it’s always great to get out and see what new things can be discovered.  Megan & Eric are so awesome because they were totally down with exploring the city, it was so fun and I’d say we found some pretty rad spots.  And what’s even better, a train started chugging along the tracks right at the end of their session to help us make pictures I’ve been dreaming of capturing.  I can’t wait to see what fun we can have again soon, see y’all in November at the wedding! 😀

Engaged | Kim & David

Proof that Kim and David are super awesome:  Just when we met up for their session the sky turned gray and began to pour down on us, but that didn’t stop these two from being cool cats.  They stayed calm and chill while we huddled under an overhang at Busch Stadium and after a little while, the clouds parted and the rain stopped.  Yay!  We started at the stadium as these two are major Cardinals fans, then we continued around downtown ending the evening near the riverfront.

Kim and David are both ridiculously good- looking, but together, their beauty magnifies and you can feel the love they share.  It really doesn’t get better than that 🙂  Thank you guys for a fun evening, can’t wait to be a part of your wedding next August!
