What an honor and awesome time we had capturing the love between this sweet, smart duo.  Ashley & Garrett first started dating in college at Florida, but they originally came from opposite areas of the country, Garrett from upstate New York and Ashley from Florida.  Shortly after graduating with an aerospace engineering degree (Garrett) and marine biology degree (Ashley) they both ended up landing great jobs here in St. Louis, Garrett as an engineer and Ashley as a sea lion trainer at the St. Louis Zoo.  It’s pretty awesome how that works, it always seems true love finds a way. 🙂

This engagement session is one of my new favorites because we photographed Ashley & Garrett ‘behind the scenes’ with her sea lions (Roby & Bennie) and started their session off at the beautiful Botanical Gardens.  They strolled through the crisp spring air, the gardens were bright with early morning light, fresh blossoms along the ground and in the trees. <3
